The Dixon Brothers

Jake and Ben both began washing brushes for our parents Guy and Sue at the age of 9. We have spent the past 30+ years learning and perfecting our craft. Ben is also a talented carpenter and woodworker. His engineering and woodworking skill are often needed in the wide variety of restoration projects we undertake. Jake is also a talented artist and sign painter with an eye for color and design.

In our rare free time when we are not lovingly restoring beautiful old homes using the techniques and old-fashioned craftsmanship handed down to us; we create art and music.

The Dixon Family Tradition

Our parents, Guy and Sue worked together as Dixon’s Painting, Inc. for 50+ years. As a woman working in a male dominated trade our mother was a brave and successful pioneer. They are now enjoying their retirement! Guy began his apprenticeship to our grandfather Don Dixon in the 1960s. Don was apprenticed to his father Arthur Dixon, who in turn apprenticed under his father Joe Dixon sometime in the mid 1800’s.

Check out Guy and Sue’s website to see where we learned everything we know: https://dixonspainting.com/

We are proud of our family history. Every day we work to make the world look a little bit nicer.
